Announcement of our charitable partnership for 2024–2025

Throughout the years, Aspire has supported numerous charities through a range of initiatives organised by the fine folks in our Corporate Responsibility Workstream. Last year, we took the decision to concentrate a significant proportion of our charitable efforts on a single, small, local charity, with the hope that focussing our efforts in this way would make a meaningful difference to people's lives.

This approach has been a great success with a rewarding partnership with Bescura Family Hubb over the past 12 months. We are delighted to confirm that we will be continuing in the same way this year. We are very pleased to announce that over the next 12 months we will be supporting Once Upon a Smile.

Once Upon a Smile is a children’s bereavement charity based in Trafford that provides emotional and practical support to bereaved families in their time of need. The charity supports children from across Greater Manchester and beyond in a variety of ways including financial support, respite breaks, and bereavement support groups for both children and parents. We very much look forward to partnering with the team at Once Upon a Smile in the year ahead!

The first initiative that Once Upon a Smile will be using our funding for is to run their annual summer residential for children that use their services. Once Upon a Smile’s residentials offer a unique and enriching experience for children who may have never been away from home. This year’s residential will be at the Children’s Adventure Farm and we hope everyone attending has a wonderful time!

In addition to our contributions to Once Upon a Smile, we will continue to support our team members’ fundraising efforts via matched funding, and to provide discretionary funding as nominated by our team members.
